I am a youth
a parrot by the sea
standing –
in shallow water deep
coloured wings and all
with a telescopic view.

I am a youth
a parody – perhaps
but not a travesty.

I am a youth
that see's the sun
and the parallel to you –
the day I shed my wings
I'll be a captain
sailing all the seas.

I am a youth
a parrot
a captain
I am a part of you
and all of me.

One day, I'll save the world
but today
I'll watch the sea.
