Sunday (Picture Prompt)! 10 April 2011
A leap of faith
within confines
while tethered
to the ground.
I jump!
With effort, I float
pined….
in my virtual cage
surrounded
by my hope.
Dried and withered
trying… to break free
through concrete
and….
across my vision
I can see
The colour of life
and the greenery
with…
a leap of faith
life begins
just beyond the trees.
smiles often those leaps while scary do bring such more to life...nice write...
ReplyDeleteExcellent interpretation of the prompt. The emotional aspect to your lines is compelling and easy to understand why the leap had been taken.
ReplyDeleteLovely response this. Chuckles all the way, which is exactly what the prompt calls for.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she needs to let go of the string.
ReplyDeleteI love this poem, your words are inspiring ...
ReplyDeleteLovely inspirational piece.
ReplyDeleteSo much of life is like your poem...
ReplyDeleteJump, leap, move...life is not a solitary thing. It is the motion, the adventure, that carries us into life, in all its beauty. Inspirational, as all before me say, and an emotional delivery for the prompt. Will we be caged by hope - or will we reach for it?
ReplyDeletei think it's funny that it's the balloon that is keeping you tethered to the ground.
ReplyDeletegreat inspiring write :)
