Lonely Thoughts

Sheltered,
I stand - and watch
with overhanging thoughts
…reaching out
extending…
well beyond my reach.

Loneliness appears
in single pains
each framed,
dripping… with my tears.

A salty brine
mixed…
then washed away -
in time.

  2. Wow that really is Loneliness - like a stop frame film of your life through blurred eyes. Wonderful.

  7. your poem is so simply stated and beautiful...i envisioned a tree, its branches reaching out into empty space...rain falling upon it and drops lingering just long enough upon a leaf until dripping down to melt away and moisten the earth...i enjoyed reading your poem over again and again because each time it gave me another way to grasp loneliness...beautifully written...thank you for this one...
